The Renegade Wolf is a persona created by Old West Re-enactor Jim Cigan. Jim has been participating in Old West Re-enactments for nearly 40 years. He began in the late 1960s as a member of the Tombstone Vigilantes, appearing in Tombstone's famous Helldorado Days, and as an extra in several movies including "The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean" and "McClintock!". Currently you can find The Renegade performing as a member of The Arizona Gunfighters and The Guns of Pioneer. Above you see him as famous gunfighter and lawman James Butler "Wild Bill" Hickok.
Like most re-enactors, when The Renegade can't find the props and supplies he needs, he makes his own. He started printing historically accurate currency from the 1840s through 1880s to use in card games, saloons, and bawdy houses (strictly during performances, of course!) These were very popular and everyone wanted some. So he started printing and selling them to fellow performers. Same with the carpet bags. He made one for himself and then everyone wanted one!
Now The Renegade is making these wonderful reproductions available to all re-enactors, or anyone else with an interest in history. Visit our Products Page to see what is available.
